Families Of Mass Shooting Victims In Texas Hold Gun Control Rally At State Capitol

Families and loved ones of victims from the Uvalde mass shooting, Santa Fe High School mass shooting, and others, gathered Saturday, August 27th, 2022, on the front steps of the Texas State Capitol building in Austin, Texas, to send a message to Governor Greg Abbott about gun reform. The rally was full of passionate and emotional speeches from those who knew the victims. Many have grown increasingly frustrated after promises from Gov. Abbott have gone unfulfilled. March for Our Lives organized the demonstration with a clear message for Texas lawmakers: raise the age for assault weapon purchase from 18 to 21. (Photo by Reginald Mathalone/NurPhoto)
