Daily Life In Canada
An election sign for one of many Sikh candidates running in the Mississauga area in Ontario, Canada. The South Asian population in the Mississauga and Brampton areas in Ontario, Canada and in the Surry area in British Columbia, Canada are second only to the UK for the number of Non-Resident Indians living outside of India. With several generations of South Asians from all areas of India, Pakistan, and other South Asian countries settled in Canada. It is no surprise that several MPs (Members of Parliament) and MPPs (Members of Provincial Parliament) are South Asians of South Asian origin. (Photo by Creative Touch Imaging Ltd./NurPhoto)
