Due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II of England, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe instructed all government institutions in Sri Lanka to fly the national flag at half-mast. Queen Elizabeth II, the UK's longest-serving monarch, has died at Balmoral, aged 96, after reigning for 70 years. Queen Elizabeth II was the Queen of Ceylon from 1952 to 1972.
