Wednesday 3rd November 2015, the first relocation of 30 asylum seekers who are departing from Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport for Luxembourg as part of an EU-funded relocation scheme. The departure of the six families from Syria and Iraq is overseen by Alexis Tsipras, Greece’s Prime Minister, Dimitris Avramopoulos , European Immigration and Home Affairs Commissioner, Martin Schulz , European Parliament President and Jean Asselborn, Luxembourg’s Foreign Minister.
