Hindu devotees perform "Tarpan" ritual to pay homage to their deceased ancestors on the bank of the Hooghly river, in Kolkata on September 25, 2022. It was the last day of "Pitru Paksha", a 16–lunar day period in Hindu calendar when Hindu devotees pay homage to their ancestors through various rituals.
