Dhaka experiences highest temperature in 54 years

Craws are drinking water during hot weather in Dhaka. People in the capital experienced the hottest day in the last 54 years as the mercury shot up to 40.7 degrees Celsius yesterday, the Met office says. The previous highest temperature in the capital was recorded 42.3 degrees on April 30, 1960, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
