Demonstration For Wage Increases And Respect For The Right To Strike

Mathilde Panot, MP for La France Insoumise (LFI) and the left-wing alliance NUPES, was present at a demonstration in Paris on 18 October 2022, after the CGT and FO unions called for a national strike for a pay rise, and against the government's requisition to force some strikers in refineries back to work. In support, unions in other industries and the public sector called for strike action and denounced soaring energy prices and overall inflation on the cost of living.
