The village is in Vikos Aoos National Park which is part of the Natura 2000 ecological network and is a UNESCO Geopark attracting tourists and nature lovers. People visit the village to enjoy activities including rafting, canoe-kayaking, hiking and mountain biking, the gastronomy of the area and the traditional architecture with many awarded hotels and guesthouses.
