Climate change: extreme drought in the Baells swamp

The lack of rain has caused extreme drought in most of the swamps of Catalonia. The Baells swamp, in the Bergeda region, is at an all-time low, at 31% of its capacity. Where once there was water there is now parched land. Drought state of the swamp with the Cercs thermal power plant in the background on 17th November 2022.
