Nationwide Day Of Protest Of The French Justice System

All justice' unions from court clerks to magistrates and lawyers (SAF, USM, SM, syndicat des Greffiers, etc.) called for a strike during one hour and for a gathering in front of the Courthouse of Toulouse as elsewhere in France to protest mainly against the lack of means to do a good work. Magistrates, lawyers and court clerks denounce a loss of sense. Family Court Judges and Children's Court Judges say they can't work on all cases and they fear a total collapse of their courts. Magistrates recognize that justice is too slow but, just in Toulouse, the justice system lacks 19 court clerks. It's the 2nd time since years that the two magistracy unions (SM and USM) called for a strike together. The Justice Minister, Eric Dupont-Moretti, said that the Macron's government did better then other government for the French justice system but protesters disagree. Toulouse. France.
