Korean Confederation Of Trade Unions Cargo Solidarity Cargo Workers Rally
About hundred of members of the Korean Public Service and Transport workers' Union Incheon Headquarters shout slogans at the cargo workers' all-out resolution protest in front of the Hyundai Oilbank Seoul office on December 7, 2022 in Seoul, South Korea. They drive Hyundai Oilbank's tank lorry trucks as individual business owners and demand a price increase and improvement in working conditions. Currently, the South Korean government issued the first work start order against workers with the Cargo Truckers' Solidarity Division who are currently on a general strike. The work start orders are a legal procedure that opens up the possibility of criminal punishment. they do not comply, their business license may be suspended or revoked, and they may be subject to judicial action (a fine of up to 30 million won or imprisonment of up to 3 years). It is known that this action by the government may violate the ILO (International Labor Organization) convention. (Photo by Chris Jung/NurPhoto)
