Activists Of 'Derniere Renovation' Block An Highway In Toulouse
Activists gesture towards an angry driver who wants to drive trough the campaigners. Campaigners of 'Derniere Renovation' (ie 'Last Renovation') campaign block the four lanes of an highway in Toulouse during approximatively 15 min before being dislodged by police. They want to raise awareness about the necessity to do energy-efficient renovation in private and public buildings. 'Derniere Renovation' argues it will reduce drastically emission of warming gas due to housing and heating, it will promote locally sourced jobs and lower ernergy bills for everyone. Emissions due to housing represent more than 20% of warming gas emitted by France. After 15 min of blockade policemen arrived and arrested all members of 'Derniere Renovation'.
