Hofskirkja Turf Church

Detail of the cemetery behind Hofskirkja church, located in Nor?austurvegur. October 19, 2022. Hofskirkja is a turf church in the Oraefi region of southeastern Iceland. There are only 6 turf churches left in Iceland and this is the last of the old churches to be built in this traditional style.
