Inflation Dampens Christmas Atmosphere In Poland
People are seen exiting an underground subway station along Marszalkowska street in Warsaw, Poland on 22 December, 2022. Although prices have been increasing across all of Europe, Poland has been saddled with one of the continent’s highest inflation rates. In November inflation reached 17.5% according to Poland’s state statistics office said last week. Pressure on consumers in Poland is exceptionally high when compare to the rest of the EU where inflation averaged 11.1% in the same period. (Photo by STR/NurPhoto)
