Toulouse' Kurds Pay Tribute To The 6 Kurds Killed In France In 10 Years

A kurdish woman wears a shirt reading 'Jin, Jiyan, Azadi' (ie 'Women, Life, Freedom'). The Toulouse's Kurdish community gathered to pay tribute to the three Kurds killed in a Kurdish cultural centre in Paris on December 23th in Paris by a far right extremist. Kurds gathered also to reclaim justice for this killings and for the high profile killings of three Kurdish women a decade ago, also in Paris. The case is officially 'unresolved' and they demand the lifting of the 'secret defence' by France on the killings of the three Kurd women ten years ago. The 69yo killer had been freed from detention on Dec. 12th while awaiting trial for a sabre attack on a migrant camp in Paris a year ago. He was also convicted in June of committing violent acts with a weapon in 2016, and had lodged an appeal. The France's Kurdish community ask for protection since years. A similar protest took place in Paris. Toulouse. January 7th 2023. (Photo by Alain Pitton/NurPhoto)
