Woman Faces Three Year Sentence For Aiding Abortion In Poland

Justyna Wydrzynska on Wednesday appeared in the Praga district court in Warsaw, Poland on charges of assisting with an abortion. The case came to light after a woman asked for help with an abortion was supplied with abortion pills by Wydrzynska, founder of a website that supports women in need of a safe abortion. The woman's husband however confiscated the abortion pills and notified the police. If found guilty Wydrzynska could face up to three years in prison.
