Sea Storm In Puglia

Storm on the Molfetta sea in Molfetta on 11 January 2023. Sea storm in Puglia The stormy sea has brought to light some finds dating back to Roman times. It happened in particular in Salento, on the shoreline of Porto Cesareo, in an area near a Roman necropolis. It was a storm to bring out what are real ''treasures''. The presence of the skeletons was ascertained by environmental inspectors alerted by a citizen's report. The inspectors thus alerted the Superintendence who ordered the safety of the tombs. Currently the area is monitored day and night. It is not the first time that in this area there are finds of this type, in the past, again following storm surges, in fact other precious testimonies of the ancient Roman settlement have emerged.
