Silesian Police Special Units Sharpen Skills At UNESCO World Heritage Site
A gate to the Zmija shaft with the mining coat of arms with two mining hammers, the most recognizable symbol of mining. The Zmija Shaft is located in a wooded area surrounded by agricultural land. The drilling of the shaft began in October 1811. It is 43 meters deep. Since the 1970s, the shaft has been used as a ventilation shaft of the Historic Silver Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in Tarnowskie Gory, Poland, on January 13, 2023.
