Tagore’s Sculpture On DU Campus Protesting At Censorship

A protest sculpture that depicts Poet Rabindranath Tagore with his mouth taped and holding a book that has been closed by a nail is set on the foot of the Raju Memorial Sculpture at the entrance of the book fair at Dhaka University's TSC to protest against the recent incidents of censorship and repression in Bangladesh. The sculpture intended to raise awareness about the importance of freedom of speech and expression. It will remain in place until the end of February. The photo has taken on February 15, 2023.
