Ceriagrion Coromandelianum

Coromandel Marsh Dart (Ceriagrion coromandelianum) or yellow waxtail is a medium-sized pale green damselfly in the family Coenagrionidae, found in the banks of ponds, rivers, and canals in South Asian countries such as India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Nepal. Also found frequently far away from water bodies, breeds in shallow water bodies with profuse growth of grass and other aquatic plants. Like almost all other damselflies, these are also weak in flight. A Coromandel Marsh Dart female is sitting on a leaf in a forest at Tehatta, West Bengal; India on March 12, 2023.
