Sirmione, Italy. 16 March 2023.Extremely low level of Garda Lake. Due to the lack of rainfall and snowfall in the winter season, the Garda Lake, the largest lake in Italy, is facing an early drought. This raises concerns among farmers and locals as the harvest season approach. Furthermore, being the Garda Lake a well known holiday destination, this early drought worries also the travel sector. In the picture: due to the low level of the lake people can walk on a flat rock beach called Jamaica Bay, located at end of the Sirmione peninsula, under the Grottoes of Catullus.
