Merapi Volcano Catastrophic History

The Merapi bunker is seen as a silent witness to the history of the eruption of the Merapi volcano in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on October 14, 2016. In 2006 two people died after previously deciding to save themselves to avoid the catrostopic impact of the Merapi volcano eruption by taking shelter in a bunker. Merapi is listed as one of 76 type 'A' volcanoes (historical eruptions since 1600) in Indonesia's 'Ring of Fire', Volcanology Center for Geological Hazard Mitigation data center Mount Merapi.
