Spontaneous Gathering Against The Use Of The 49.3 Article For The Macron's Pension Reform
A woman holds a placard '49.3'. After the use by French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne of the 49.3 article (which bypass the Parliament vote) to pass the Macron's pension reform, people, trade unions, political parties gathered this evening to protest against the constitutionnal trick. Several thousands of people converged to the main square of Toulouse, The Capitole, to make heard their voices. Riot policemen were all around the place, after blockading protesters, they let them enter the Capitole place. At the end of the gathering, some skirmishes happened between protesters, blzack blocks and riot police (gendarmerie mobile). Riot police used tear gas. 74% say it will be unacceptable if the government use the article 49.3 which states that the law is accepted without vote by the Parliament). The retirement age would be raised to 64 years (for 43 years of continued work) and the pensions will be lower specially for women, 'short careers' and low wages people.similar gatherings took place all over France.
