Family Of Polish Man Abused By Swedish Police Protest At Embassy In Warsaw
The Swedish coat of arms is seen at the entrance of the Swedish embassy in Warsaw, Poland on 17 March, 2023. Mariusz Dworakowski, a 47 year old Polish man arrested in December 2021 by Sweidsh police is currently serving time in jail in Sweden. Family membes say Mariusz was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was forced to remain lying on the street in freezing cold temperatures after suffering physical abuse by police. His family is demanding financial compensation for permanent injuries suffered during the arrest. Swedish authorities deny any wrongdoing by police and say the Mariusz will be extradited to Poland this summer. (Photo by Jaap Arriens/NurPhoto)
