An activist from the Abortion Dream Team group, Justyna Wydrzynska, was accused in 2020 of assisting in an abortion and of possessing and marketing banned substances. She gave abortion pills to a woman who was in a relationship with an abusive partner and asked her for help. The woman's partner intercepted the pills and reported the matter to the police. After six hearings, Justyna Wydrzynska was sentenced to eight months of restriction of liberty - 30 hours of community service a month, and was released from the second charge. After the verdict was announced, spontaneous solidarity protests with the activist appeared in Poland. (Photo by Klaudia Radecka/NurPhoto)
