Elderly women from the different neighbourhoods and native peoples of the Xochimilco municipality in Mexico City are gathering in the centre on March 26, 2023 for the inauguration of the Most Beautiful Flower of the Ejido contest, which aims to highlight the diversity of the native women of Xochimilco and preserve and highlight the origins of the local communities that are still preserving their customs and traditions.
