Young Centurions participate in a 'battle' near a port area in Quezon province on 4 April 2023. Called ''estokadahan'' participants attempt to rid their opponent of the feathers behind their headpiece. According to the local tourism office, the unique costume came to be when locals who couldn't afford the traditional centurion armor came up with their own, adorning their tunics with makeshift feathers made out of crepe paper.
