Holy Week: Good Friday Procession In Hospitalet Del Llobregat
The neighborhood of ''La Florida,'' in Hospitalet del Llobregat, a town bordering Barcelona and with the highest population density per square kilometer in Europe, celebrates the Good Friday procession, featuring the figures of ''Nuestro Padre Jesus de Nazareno'' and ''Nuestra Senora de los Dolores.'' The peculiarity of these processions is that they are not typical of the Catalonia region, but rather of southern Spain. These processions were created by immigrants who came to Catalonia in the 1960s to remember what was done in their homeland. Currently, these processions have more than 500 participants and a great expectation from the population. (Photo by Eric Renom/NurPhoto)
