A person deprived of his liberty, dressed as Christ, is helped by one carrying a cross during the representation of the Passion of Christ on the esplanade of the Centro de Reinsercion Social Varonil Oriente in Iztapalapa, Mexico City, on april 07, 2023, as part of the Holy Week activities in the capital. The acts of commemoration in the Penitentiary System were carried out with the support of the Archdiocese of Mexico, through the Prison Pastoral Commission, considering that more than 80 percent of the population professes to profess the Catholic religion and lives these events with faith.
