Twelfth Day Of Protest Against Pension Reform In Paris

The leaders of the eight workers' unions that make up the intersyndicale, including Francois Hommeril, confederal president of the CFE-CGC union, Sophie Binet, general secretary of the CGT union, and Laurent Berger, general secretary of the CFDT union, were present at the head of the procession where, for the twelfth time in three months, several thousand workers and students demonstrated in the streets of Paris in response to a call by the intersyndicale to protest against the pension reform proposed by the French government. This law postpones the legal retirement age from 62 to 64 and increases the number of years of contributions required to 43 years. (Photo by Samuel Boivin/NurPhoto)
