Mount Merapi, a volcanic mountain spews lava as it erupts several times as seen from Turgo village, Sleman district in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on April 24, 2023. Merapi is located in one of the most densely populated parts of Java with over 11,000 people living on the slopes of the mountain.
