Drone View Of Drought At Lake Garda
An aerial view taken on April 28, 2023 shows the peninsula of Sirmione on Lake Garda, northern Italy, as the lake's water levels recede due to a severe drought. The water level has dropped to just 45.8 cm above the hydrometric zero, leaving the basin at 25% of its water capacity. Summer irrigation and the operation of several hydroelectric plants are at risk. The primary cause is low winter precipitation and insufficient snow accumulation. (Photo by Manuel Romano/NurPhoto)
