Victims of microfinance institutions and loan-sharking take part in a march in Kathmandu, Nepal, on December 22, 2025, demanding justice and relief from financial exploitation. The protest is jointly organized by the Land Rights Movement, the Nepal Microfinance and Financial Exploitation Struggle Committee, and the Nepal Farmers and Workers Movement Against Loan-Sharking. Organizers say the movement aims to draw the government's attention to the problems faced by people affected by microfinance-related debt and illegal interest practices, and to press for concrete policy and legal measures to address their grievances.

In Katowice, Poland, on December 12, 2025, Marian Zmarzly, Deputy Minister of Energy, participates in a miners' protest in front of the Ministry of Energy in response to the deteriorating financial condition of Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa (JSW). The National Commission of the WZZ 'August 80' organizes the protest in response to the actions of JSW. The miners raise concerns about the reduction in the payment of the Miner's Day allowance and the risk of further cuts in employee benefits. They state that JSW is in a difficult situation and its current actions are delayed and do not solve the problem. The protesters meet with Undersecretary of State Marian Zmarzly, who receives their list of demands. The Senate approves the government's proposed amendment to the Mining Act, which allows for the gradual phasing out of mines extracting hard coal other than coking coal, as well as protective aid and severance payments. The act has not yet been signed by the president.
