Culture workers (actors, live artists, musicians, technicians, etc.) and activists occupy the National Theater of Toulouse called 'Theatre de la Cite' to protest against the closing down of all theaters, cinemas, concert halls, etc. by the French government due to the Covid-19 pandemic since one year. They plan to occupy the theater as long as necessary as in other theaters in France such as Rennes, Pau, Strasbourg, Paris (Theatre de l'Odeon), etc. They demand the re-opening of all culture places. They also ask for the extension of their unemployment benefits. The administator of the Theatre De La Cite, Stephane Gil, welcomed the protestators when they came inside the theater. Toulouse. Over the course of three days, these towering giants walk the streets of Leeuwarden and provide an unforgettable experience with their 'Big Skate in the Ice' show. Royal de Luxe is an extraordinary street theatre company. The company flies around the world with their impressive Giants, puppets several meters high and taller than the buildings around them. In their third and last performance, they marvelled the people with a very spectacular performance that took place along the canals of the city. More than one million people gathered during the three days in the streets of Leeuwarden as French theatre group Royal de Luxe brought its giants to town. The event was one of the major highlights of the European Capital of Culture 2018 programme.
