Ukrainian activists stage a performance during a rally marking the 5th anniversary of imprisonment of Ukrainian film director Oleg Sentsov, who was jailed on terrorism charges in Russia, in Kiev, Ukraine, on 10 May, 2019. The activists handed letters to several leading EU countries embassies in which they called to increase pressure on Russia aiming at releasing Oleg Settsov and other 70 Ukrainian political prisoners jailed there.

A Russian court sentenced Oleg Sentsov in August 2015 , detained in Crimea in 2014, to 20 years of jail on charges of terrorism. Ukraine and the international community have repeatedly stated the political motivation of the “Sentsov case” and demanded the release of the Ukrainian director.
