Police officers are then attempting to detain the male who has gotten into the driver's seat. A struggle is ensuing, and the vehicle is accelerating, initially backward and then forward. One police officer is firing his duty weapon, striking the driver. The vehicle is striking the officers' patrol car, which is positioned at an angle in front of the reportedly stolen vehicle. The vehicle is then traveling forward across the street, onto a sidewalk, and crashing into a building and then into unoccupied vehicles parked along the street.
