Brotherhoods such as Nuestra Senora de la Merced leave from the town hall square to participate in the Palm Sunday Procession in the city of Santander (Spain) that together with the rest of the penitential brotherhoods accompany the procession ''The entrance in Jerusalem'' to the Cathedral of Santander where the bishop blesses the branches and officiates the mass of this day of celebration of Holy Week.
