Pre-paid credit cards for refugees by NGO SolidarityNow in Athens, Greece, February 20, 2017. SolidarityNow delivers to all beneficiaries of its accomodation projects pre-paid cards to use them in order to purchase services and products. The amount that every family receives is fixed by UNHCR, depending on the members of the family and cannot be changed. The project has been in operation since November 2016 within the UNHCR accomodation scheme. Till now 1558 beneficiaries received assistance from the program and a total amount of 408.970 euros has been distributed within 3 months.

Future talks on debt relief for Greece will focus on the debt's net present value, Greek deputy central bank governor Ioannis Mourmouras told a business conference on Tuesday, 1st December 2015. He also said that once Greece completes reforms agreed with creditors under the first review of its bailout program, it could benefit from the European Central Bank’s bond-buying program.

Greece's Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras makes statements, after the first 30 refugees to be relocated from Greece have boarded a plane in Athens bound for Luxembourg on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015. The six families from Syria and Iraq who left Greece on Wednesday mark the start of a program seeking to relocate refugees who have arrived in Greece from nearby Turkey to other European Union countries without them having to make the arduous and often dangerous overland journey across the Balkans on foot.
