Recently, the USA has been on alert after nearly 300 cases of mosquito-borne West Nile virus were reported. The virus gained significant attention after multiple people tested positive. Currently, no vaccines exist for West Nile virus. Aedes mosquitoes began their blood meal from humans in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on August 31, 2024.
