Thousands of protesters gather in Athens to demand justice two years after Greece's deadliest train crash. The tragedy, which occurs on February 28, 2023, near Tempi in northern Greece, kills 57 people, including university students and train crew members. In response to the crash's aftermath, workers stage a nationwide strike, halting flights, sea, and land transport, while shops close and theatres cancel performances. Each first Saturday in October, this event invites to see the city in a different way, at night, lit by neons and other lights. In all parts of the city, artists propose installations, exhibitions, concerts performances, trails, staged scene sets and creations that explore all facets of contemporary art and offer a new view of the city. The Nuit Blanche was first organized in 2002, and, like the Fête de la Musique, it has spread around the world to other cities in France and other European capitals.
