In Krakow, Poland, on January 19, 2026, the symbol of the Polish special forces unit AGAT appears during a press conference by Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, following a meeting with the Romanian Minister of Defense via VTC at the headquarters of the Special Forces Component Command. The Minister of National Defense states that neither Poland nor Romania plans to send soldiers to Ukraine and will remain responsible for providing logistical support for allied forces on their own territory. After speaking with Radu-Dinel, Miruta also assures that both countries will continue their cooperation under the SAFE program.

The Aviation Combat Element of the 22nd MEU, centered on Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron VMM-263, operates MV-22B Osprey, CH-53E Super Stallion, AV-8B Harrier II, AH-1W Super Cobra, and UH-1N Huey aircraft to provide assault support, logistical lift, close air support, armed escort, and command and control in support of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force ashore.
