There are about 2000 islets, some of them with caves, as the area is a zone of thousands of limestone karsts and amazing rock pillar formations. There have been found evidences of prehistoric human presence in the area. Nowadays a few traditional floating fishing village remain in the area as it transforms to a popular tourist destination.A few local vendors approach the touristic cruise ships with their traditional boat.
