Farmers carrying union flags gather on the Esplanades des Invalides during a demonstration organised by unions including FNSEA (National Federation of Farmers Union), against ''obligations'' in agriculture, in particular restrictions on the use of pesticides, in Paris, on February 8, 2023. On January 23, the government decided to abandon the authorization of neonicotinoid insecticides for the cultivation of sugar beet, following a decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
