From today, a section of the Foro Italico of Palermo will bear the name of Yasser Arafat, Nobel Peace Prize winner. The dedication ceremony took place this morning at the Foro Umberto I in the presence of Mayor Leoluca Orlando, councilors Adham Darawsha, Giusto Catania, Roberto D'Agostino, Giovanna Marano and Maria Prestigiacomo, some municipal councilors and district councilors. Also present were Nasser Al-Kidwa, grandson of Yasser Arafat and president of the Yasser Arafat Foundation (YAF), Fatima Baroudi, consul general of Morocco, Fateh Hamdan, representative of the Palestinian community in Sicily and the president of the Council of Cultures, Ibrahima Kobena.
