Ajodhya Hills in Purulia, West Bengal, India, on January 11, 2026, is a small, rocky, table-topped plateau and a residual hill range, acting as the easternmost extension of the Chota Nagpur Plateau and Dalma Hills. It is situated at an average altitude of 600-700 meters and features undulating terrain, deciduous forests, and deep river valleys, and is part of the Eastern Ghats range. One of the primary rivers flowing is the Bandu River, which is a key, scenic water body in this rural, hilly region. Ipomoea carnea, or pink morning glory flowers, and Chromolaena odorata (Siam weed) bloom by the edge of the swamp at Sirkabad. Ipomoea carnea, or pink morning glory, is a bushy plant with heart-shaped leaves. However, the seeds of this plant are toxic to cattle and can cause various health issues, including endocrine and gastrointestinal problems, as well as embryonic abnormalities.
