The Palace of Culture and Sciences is seen from the Old Town in Warsaw, Poland on March 3, 2021. New cases of COVID-19 have surged in the Warmian-Mazurian Voivodship, one of the country's poorest regions. Epidimiologists suspect the sudden rise is the result of the Poles having returned home for Christmas. As hospitals are running out of beds the government has imposed a quarantine on the region just weeks after the country has seen restrictions being relaxed.
