Each point symbolizes one of the seven deadly sins, and the candy or fruit that spills out when broken symbolizes the blessings received by all who participate. On the other hand, according to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT), Christmas trees constitute a sustainable alternative that strengthens the local economy, generates employment, and promotes the conservation of forest ecosystems, since for each specimen used, a new one is planted, thus guaranteeing the continuity of the productive and environmental cycle.
