Li Yunfei, general manager of BYD brand and public relations, said at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show that BYD aims to sell 3 million cars in domestic and foreign markets in 2023 as the brand matrix is improved and new models are launched at an accelerated pace. According to BYD's 2022 annual report, BYD sold 1.825 million vehicles in 2022. Based on this calculation, BYD's 2023 sales target is 1.2 million vehicles more than 2022, an increase of about 67%.
