An empty dense settlement during micro lockdown, Jakarta 10 Januari 2022. Four RTs in RW 02 Krukut Sub-district, Tamansari District, West Jakarta were subjected to regional quarantine or micro-lockdown due to the findings of the COVID-19 cluster. According to Head of the Disease Prevention and Control Division of the DKI Jakarta Health Service (Dinkes), initially there was a local resident who tested positive for COVID-19. Based on temporary observations, the patient is a suspect for the Omicron variant. Then, the Health Office carried out contact tracing or tracing and testing for COVID-19 for Krukut residents who lived close to the patient.The results of tracing and testing, found 35 other residents who were positive for COVID-19. The Health Office also examined WGS on the specimens of these dozens of residents to detect Omicron.

Base on data from the geological Agency from the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resource, Pekalongan city is experiencing a land subsidence of 6 centimeters per year, which caused by the global climate change, and massive use of groundwater by housholds, farming, industry, which if not immediately mitigated, than the city is predicted to sink in 2036.
