images of the rise and decline of Perlora, the most important holiday city in Spain built for workers on 27 August 2018. It was a working and summer paradise. The holiday town of Perlora, some 20 hectares in the Asturian council of Carreño, in the north of Spain, was built in 1954 by the Francoist vertical union so that the workers of the main public companies (Hunosa, Ensidesa, Endesa ...) would enjoy in her from her holidays with their families. They were about 300 chalets, of more than 30 types, built following the fashion or traditional architectures, but also sports facilities, restaurants, playgrounds and, of course, beaches. The city was closed in 2006 and today the curious chalets of Perlora remain empty and silent. The houses remain in a state of semi-abandonment: the undergrowth eats some of the chalets, declared in ruins, there are broken windows or painted on the walls. But on sunny summer days, those workers who are now retired, return to the homes that someday enjoyed to spend the day even if only in the environment. Since they remain closed and some about to collapse.
